WHAT IS A ROCPLUG?

A Rocplug is a device that connects to a Euromap interface and provides functionality to exchange information about injection moulding machines with its status and configuration, process and job parameters as well as the transfer of data sets for configuration.  It can host its data with its onboard OPC-UA server. It can forward its data to IoT clouds for data analysis and predictions.  It can also send its data to ROC40's RocFloor Utility.

WHAT IS THE ROCFLOOR UTILITY?

The RocFloor Utility uses ERP and Rocplug data to power a set of tools that make the operational team more efficient. Built-in dashboards show facility and station performance, and notify operators of equipment alerts. A messaging system enables inter-team requests that facilitate problem resolution. Quality control samples can be captured and tracked. Station metrics and progress can be tracked. Shift predictions are calculated and illustrated with an intuitive ShiftRing designed by ROC40.

WHAT IS OPC-UA?

OPC UA (short for Open Platform Communications United Architecture) is a data exchange standard for industrial communication (machine-to-machine or PC-to-machine communication). This open interface standard is independent of the manufacturer or system supplier of the application, of the programming language in which the respective software was programmed, and of the operating system on which the application is running. The Rocplug has an onboard OPC-UA server which hosts data it captures from connected field equipment, then makes it available to OPC-UA clients like ERP systems.

WHAT ERP WORKS WITH THE ROCPLUG?

The Rocplug gathers data from connected machines and hosts its data from an onboard OPC-UA server. It can be used as a data-source by any ERP that has the ability to function as a consuming OPC-UA client.

The Rocplug is currently certified to work with Delmia Works, formerly referred to as IQMS.
